Alicia Koplowitz Foundation funded the specialization of Psychiatrists and Psychologists in the care of children and adolescents.

Alicia Koplowitz Foundation Announces New Call for Scholarships and Grants for 2009, which includes scholarships for advanced training in the U.S. and UK, Short Stay Fellowships in International Centers and Financial Aid for Research in Child Psychiatry and Diseases neurodegenerative.

Alicia Koplowitz Foundation recently announced the Call for Aid and Scholarships for 2009. This year, scholarships are offered advanced training course for two years to track MIR Psychiatrists and Psychologists via RIP or to specialize in the care of children and adolescents in hospitals in the U.S. and UK. They also offer scholarships for short stays of one to six months for Psychiatrists, Psychologists and Doctors of Science are to expand their knowledge in international centers of recognized prestige. Finally, the Alicia Koplowitz Foundation provides financial support for research projects on autism, schizophrenia, depression, hyperactivity and attention disorders, anorexia and bulimia, as well as neurodegenerative diseases such as early multiple sclerosis, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis or ataxias.

For the proper development of these projects, the Alicia Koplowitz Foundation has established partnerships with some of the most important international centers in the field of Psychiatry for Children and Adolescents. Specifically, there are agreements with Columbia University Medical Center in New York, the Western Psychiatric Institute & Clinic Pittsburgh, St. Mary's Hospital in London, the Bellevue Hospital Center in New York and Psychiatry at the Maudsley, King ' s College London.

In this regard, Dr. Margaret Lawrence, Coordinator of Medical Programs Science Alicia Koplowitz Foundation, commented: "Spain, along with Latvia and Romania, is one of the few EU countries that lack the expertise Medical Child Psychiatry. About the Alicia Koplowitz Foundation
Alicia Koplowitz Foundation was created in 2003 with the aim of supporting research and training of health professionals specialized in the field of Psychiatry and Psychology for Children and Adolescents.
